Connection and positive interactions between our family community and teachers and school staff is one of the most important relationships we continuously nurture at Newtown Public School.

School Bytes
School Bytes will allow teachers and school admin to handle information efficiently and effectively. For parents / carers, it will make your life a lot simpler with all information regarding school activities and your child/ren's information in the one secure place.
Student-Led Conferences
These conferences are led by your child with both the parents / carers and tear present. This gives your child the opportunity to share with their learning goals they have set for themselves and show work that shows their growth in their chosen areas. The ability for students to set goals and to self-assess with guidance from their teachers is a major part of our work with students on identifying areas for challenge and growth as learners.

Parent Participation and P&C
Parents are welcome to participate in many school activities at Newtown Public School, including special events and selected class activities. Parents / carers are also welcome as helpers – on excursions, to talk about their job or special experiences.
Parents /carers are encouraged to assist the school with fundraising and to participate on committees that plan the school community’s events and fundraising each year. Participation and support is very much appreciated because it benefits all students and helps build a spirit of community within the school.
Newtown Public School’s P&C works closely with the school leadership team to meet the school’s key strategic directions. The P&C meets on the third Tuesday of each month during the school terms, these dates will be announced via the Sentral Parent Portal. All parents / carers are encouraged to join.
