School events bring learning to life and help shape Newtown Public School. Via participation, students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their achievements. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and witness their child's growth and development outside of the home.

Readathon 2026
From 29 August - 11 September, students in Kindergarten to Year 6 are participating in the annual Readathon. In our major fundraiser for the year, students are sponsored to read a minimum of 20 minutes per day to raise funds for our school.
