Football

The South Sydney PSSA Boys and Girls Football (Soccer) Trials will be held at Wilkins PS, Park Rd, Marrickville in week 6 & 7:

The boys trials will be held on Monday 2nd March from 3:30-4:45pm ( Week 6)

The girls trials will be held on Monday 9th March from 3:30-4:45pm ( Week 7)

These are the trials that students must attend in order to select a team to compete at the PSSA Sydney East Region Boys or Girls Football Championship near the end of term 1:

- The Sydney East Boys Football Championship will be on Wednesday 18th March (Week 8) 

- The Sydney East Girls Football Championship will be held on Wednesday 25th March (Week 9).

 Important please note:

• We are allowed to send three boys and three girls to these trials. 
• Student names MUST be emailed to the convener by me before attending the trial.
• Nominations MUST be emailed to me no later then 4pm, Tuesday 24th February. 
• Depending on how many names emailed, students with the highest division level will be chosen, with preference given to Year 6.
• Please include in your child's nomination their date of birth, position, club/ rep level. 
• In order to qualify, boys have to be playing at least 1st Division for their club and preferably also representative football.
• In order to qualify, girls should be talented at sport and have previous experience of playing football for at least two years, either in 1^st Division in a girls only club team or at least 3^rd Division in a mixed club team.

Tennis

Is your child a competitive tennis player?

South Sydney Zone PSSA are taking nominations from students who play competitive tennis. 

Each zone is able to send a maximum of four (4) boys and four (4) girls to the SEPSSA Tennis Trials.  

The SEPSSA Tennis trial is open to students (boys and girls) who play at a competitive level and are interested in trialling for the SEPSSA team which will compete in the NSWPSSA state championships from 5 - 8 May 2020 at Broadmeadow. 

If you would like to nominate your child for this trial, please email their name, club and experience by Tuesday, 25th February.

All students must wear suitable attire and will need to bring a tennis racquet.

The trial will be held on:

Monday 9th March, 2020 (Term 1, Week 7), 8:30am until 3:00pm

Illawarra Association Courts, Chapel Street, Rockdale NSW 2216

Following the trial, a team of five (5) boys and five (5) girls will be selected in the SEPSSA team.

Australian Football

The NSW Primary All-Schools Australian Football selection trial is open for all girls 10 - 12 years old.

A state team will be selected to participate in the 2020 School Sport Australia Girls Australian Football Championships to be held in Adelaide from Saturday 1st – 8th August inclusive.

If you would like to nominate your child for this trial, please email their name and experience to Kelly Borg by Monday, 9th March.

The trial will be held on:

Wednesday 8th April, 2020 (Term 1, Week 11)

8:30am until 3:00pm

Olds Park, Penshurst

Successful students will then participate in a final selection trial on Friday 22^nd May (Term 2, Week 4).

All students must wear suitable attire and football boots, mouthguards are compulsory.

There is a consent form that must be completed and a $10 registration fee to attend this trial.

Rugby League

The Combined South Sydney and Balmain PSSA Rugby League U11 and Opens Trials will be held at Wilkins PS on Thursday, 12 March 2020. These trials are for students who display a talent for rugby league or participate in regular organised competition 

When: Thursday, 12 March 2020
Where: Wilkins Public School Oval, 31 Park Road Marrickville.
Time: 4pm- 5.30pm
Bring: Football jumper, shorts, socks, boots and mouth guards are compulsory. Other selected protective
gear i.e. shoulder pads, head gear.

All students names must be emailed to the convener prior to attending the trial. If you would like to enter your child into these trials please email Kelly Borg with your child's full name, date of birth, preferred playing position and club. Entries close Tuesday, 3rd March at 4pm. 

Please note:
Pupils born in the Year 2009 and above are eligible for the U11s Squad.
Pupils turning 11 years old and over are eligible for the Opens squad.

Any students participating in these trials would need to be available for the Sydney East regional trials on Tuesday 24 March 2020 at Cronulla High School (Captain Cook Drive, Cronulla, NSW 2230) from 9.30am - 2.30pm. If successful at these trials they would attend the SNSW PSSA State carnival on:
Open: 23 - 25 June 2020 at Tamworth.
11 Years: 16 - 18 June 2020 at Kiama.
